I try to do a couples session giveaway at least once a year because I genuinely love giving back to all the amazing couples who trust me to capture their special moments. It’s always so much fun getting to know new people, hearing their love stories, and creating timeless images for them to cherish. This year’s giveaway session was extra special because it brought us back to a place filled with so much meaning.
Jennie and Mark were the winners of my 2024 couples photoshoot giveaway! When they told me they wanted to go back to Prospect Point, I couldn’t have been more excited. This wasn’t just any location—it was the exact spot where Mark proposed to Jennie just a year ago. Being able to revisit such a meaningful place made this session feel even more special.
A Love Story Rooted in Dance
Jennie and Mark’s love story is one of those that feels like it’s straight out of a movie. They met through dance, and movement has been a huge part of their relationship ever since. Throughout the session, I got to witness some of their suave dance moves woven into our posing prompts, and let me tell you—it was an absolute dream to capture! Whether it was a smooth twirl or the way Mark effortlessly dipped Jennie, their natural rhythm and connection made every shot feel so elegant and effortless.
The Perfect Winter Session (Without the Rain!)
If you live in Vancouver, you know that January usually means endless rain and gray skies. But somehow, the weather miraculously cooperated for us! No rain, no gloomy skies—just the perfect mix of soft winter light and crisp air. The peaceful atmosphere at Prospect Point made it an ideal setting for Jennie and Mark’s photos, allowing them to truly enjoy the experience without worrying about the usual winter downpours.
As they walked hand in hand, danced through the open space, and shared little moments of laughter, it was clear that this session wasn’t just about the photos—it was about reliving their engagement day in the most beautiful way. It felt like a celebration of how far they’ve come in just one year.
